Natural Stone Selection / Review and Recommendation
Step 1: Initial Consultation
The process begins with an initial consultation between the client and IL CONSULTENTE (ILC) team. During this consultation, the client's project requirements, aesthetic preferences, functional needs, and budget constraints are discussed in detail.
Step 2: Understanding Project Requirements
ILC team conducts a thorough analysis of the project requirements, including the type of application (e.g., flooring, wall cladding or decorative items), traffic levels, environmental conditions, and design specifications.
Step 3: Assessment of Site Conditions
Site conditions, such as climate, humidity levels, exposure to sunlight, and potential wear and tear, are evaluated to determine the most suitable natural stone materials that can withstand these conditions.
Step 4: Research, Value Engineering and Selection of Natural Stone Types
Based on the project requirements and site conditions, ILC team conducts research to identify a range of natural stone types that may be suitable for the project or propose suitable alternative to specified material by designers.
Factors such as color, pattern, texture, hardness, porosity, and maintenance requirements are considered during the selection process.
Value engineering solutions are explored to optimize the design, stone properties, fabrication techniques, installation methods of natural stone elements and maintenance requirements. By analyzing these elements, we identify opportunities to optimize the use of natural stone materials, streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance the overall value proposition for clients.
Alternative materials, construction methods, and design approaches are considered to achieve the desired aesthetic and functional outcomes within budget constraints.
This approach ensures that natural stone projects achieve the desired aesthetic, durability, and functionality at the most cost-effective investment, without sacrificing quality or design integrity.
Step 5: Presentation of Options
ILC team presents the client with a curated selection of natural stone options that align with the project's aesthetic vision, functional needs, and budget. Visual aids, such as samples, images, and digital renderings, may be used to help the client visualize how each natural stone option will look in the context of their project.
Step 6: Material Samples & Mock-ups
Material samples of the selected natural stone options are provided to the client for closer inspection and evaluation. Mock-ups or scaled models may be created to demonstrate how the natural stone materials or alternatives will appear when installed in the actual project setting.
Step 7: Client Feedback and Revision
The client provides feedback on the presented natural stone options, expressing preferences and concerns. Based on client feedback, revisions may be made to the selection of natural stone types, finishes, or design details.
Step 8: Final Selection and Approval
After incorporating client feedback and revisions, the final selection of natural stone materials is made. The client approves the chosen natural stone options, confirming their satisfaction with the selection and readiness to proceed to the next phase of the project.
By following these step-by-step guidelines, the natural stone selection process is conducted systematically, ensuring that the chosen materials align with the project's vision, requirements, and specifications.
